Do you have a point of view or is a new day really just like yesterday, dealing with the sameness, churning the same ideas and opinions? Is your point of view grounded in the ideals of ‘what was’ or in the ideals of ‘what is to be’? Or what could be?
The futures festival called AusForesight2007 is an event to uncover varied points of view on what could be and turn them into a communiqué – a story of potential and of value for Australia and for participating communities to make a positive contribution to the human existence.
The futures festival creates the conditions and content to reflect, react and respond.
It allows some time to reflect on the changes around us and consider our reactions to those changes. It allows participants to take part in creating a collective output, which will be shared with those who have the responsibility to make decisions, which shape our society and existence for now and for the longer term.
